Helping others in your spare
time
With students who are, quite frankly, a cut above the average,
it's no wonder that a lot of our excess enthusiasm also goes into
community service work. Class projects, service organizations and
sometimes just simple altruism drive our students to go the extra
mile to help those less fortunate.
- Rose-Hulman students put together hundreds of bikes each year
for underprivileged youth.
- Some work to better families' lives through Habitat for
Humanity projects.
- Our Engineers Without Borders group is part of a multinational
organization dedicated to improving life in third-world
countries.
- About 10% of the blood donated in this area comes from our
students - most of it voluntarily.
And the
list goes on and on.
