Rose-Hulman requires all incoming freshmen to have a laptop - and we have since 1995 - so that you have the world at your fingertips, you can stay organized and you can work anywhere on campus. We select a model each year so that everyone has the same laptop. You can buy your laptop bundle up front or pay for it over the course of your four years.

Our campus network includes 7,000 wired Ethernet ports and an extensive IEEE 802.11a/b/g wireless network, which means you can work online nearly anywhere on campus. That includes all residence-hall rooms, snack bar and nearly every classroom and lab. The wired Ethernet infrastructure is a fully switched 100Mbps network with a 45Mpbs connection to the Internet.
